Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Manufacturing Project Manager to lead and coordinate mechanical fabrication and construction projects in the Fort Worth area. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of mechanical project management experience.
  • Background in mechanical construction and/or fabrication.
  • Hands‑on experience with sheet metal, piping, HVAC, or related mechanical systems.

  • Experience coordinating fabrication with field installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and change order management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with customers, field personnel, fabrication teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Construction or manufacturing project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with fabrication/manufacturing teams, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Review project drawings, specs, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Coordinate sheet metal, piping, HVAC, and other mechanical fabrication requirements.
  • Work with fabrication teams to ensure materials and components meet specs.
  • Oversee procurement, material requirements, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate fabrication and field installation schedules for seamless shop-to-jobsite transition.
  • Identify issues and develop solutions to protect schedule and budget.
  • Track costs, change orders, labor, materials, and overall performance.
  • Communicate with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with field Superintendents to resolve installation issues.
  • Review progress and ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets, and reporting.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates to leadership and customers.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Manufacturing Project Manager to join a growing team in the Fort Worth area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on project management professional who understands both mechanical fabrication/manufacturing and mechanical construction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with sheet metal, piping, HVAC/mechanical systems, fabrication, and installation, and will be comfortable managing projects from the initial planning and fabrication stages through field installation and completion.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Manage mechanical projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Coordinate closely with fabrication/manufacturing teams, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and customers
  • Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work
  • Coordinate sheet metal, piping, HVAC, and other mechanical fabrication requirements
  • Work with fabrication teams to ensure materials and components are produced accurately and according to project specifications
  • Oversee project procurement, material requirements, production schedules, and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate fabrication and field installation schedules to ensure a seamless transition from shop to jobsite
  • Identify potential project issues and develop solutions before they impact schedule or budget
  • Track project costs, change orders, labor, materials, and overall project performance
  • Communicate regularly with customers, project stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with field Superintendents and crews to resolve construction and installation issues
  • Review project progress and ensure work is completed according to quality and safety standards
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets, and reporting
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership and customers
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of mechanical project management experience
  • Strong background in mechanical construction and/or mechanical fabrication
