Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Indiana to lead process improvement efforts across plastics operations. You will analyze production lines, optimize tooling and setups, and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure repeatable, high-quality output for new product launches. The position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, development of work instructions, and strong alignment with site production goals.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience preferably in plastics or polymers.
• Six Sigma or Lean experience.
• Experience in New Product Introduction/Launch.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with production staff to identify and implement the most effective manufacturing methods and technologies.
• Develop and optimize process parameters, tooling, fixtures, and equipment setups to support stable and repeatable production.
• Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product launches, including process development, validation, and documentation.
• Benchmark industry best practices and identify opportunities to integrate advanced manufacturing techniques into the organization.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Provide hands-on technical support for daily production issues, including troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and process deviations.
• Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, scrap reduction, cycle time, and OEE.
• Maintain strong working relationships across departments to ensure alignment on production goals and priorities.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support operator training by developing clear work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process control methods.
