Job summary

Prysmian is a leading wire and cable manufacturer seeking a manufacturing process engineer to lead safety initiatives and improve processes across a 24/7 operation in Texas. You will implement Lean Sigma projects, apply DOE and SPC, and manage equipment upgrades with a focus on yield, efficiency, and capacity. Occasional travel is required.

The role requires an engineering degree and strong project management and communication skills, with experience in continuous manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ME/EE/IE/CE; MS or equivalent technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety leadership and advance Zero & Beyond safety culture.
• Share expertise through training and leading others in best practices.
• Generate and evaluate risk/reward of improvement opportunities; advocate Lean Sigma.
• Lead and influence diverse teams across organization levels.
• Improve yield, efficiency and capacity to meet strategic goals.
• Develop and sustain manufacturing processes using data and statistical tools.
• Specify, procure and commission new manufacturing equipment with ROI documentation.
• Troubleshoot on the shop floor to drive root cause analysis.
• Maintain BOMs and performance specs for current products.
• Perform Lean Facilitator duties to sustain lean initiatives.
