Job summary

United States Steel Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician Mechanical to support maintenance operations at one of the Mon Valley plants. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, repairing and operating a wide range of mechanical systems to sustain continuous production.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of manufacturing or industrial experience, with proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and power transmission systems, welding and diesel mechanics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent education, with exposure to hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission, welding, pipefitting, structural repair and diesel mechanics.
• Safety procedures must be followed; wear PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection and boots.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment.
• Provide assistance in operating functions as necessary.
