Job summary

United States Steel Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician Electrical to perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations in a heavy industrial setting. You will work with electrical systems, PLCs, schematics, and power distribution to keep plants running smoothly.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a high school level diploma or GED, and willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent education
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Rotating 8-hour shift including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
• Overtime as needed
• Adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Must pass assessment tests

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair electrical/electronic systems using schematics, AC/DC systems, and PLCs
• Provide assistance in operating functions as necessary
• May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians
• Work in various plant locations with potentially hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, or noisy environments
