Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Lead to supervise maintenance, repair, and installation activities in a fast-paced industrial setting. This temporary role suits a hands-on leader with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and a focus on equipment reliability.

You will lead daily maintenance, coordinate work, and mentor technicians while ensuring OSHA and quality procedures are followed. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 10+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, valves, and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Experience with metal fabrication, equipment repair, and industrial tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily mechanical maintenance, repair, and equipment installation activities.
• Assign and coordinate work based on operational priorities and maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues on pumps, compressors, gearboxes, valves, bearings, hydraulic systems, and rotating equipment.
• Perform and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Support equipment overhauls, modifications, metal fabrication, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
• Train, mentor, and support maintenance technicians.
• Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, and documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, vendors, and suppliers to complete projects efficiently.
• Support emergency repairs, shutdowns, and outage activities as needed.
