Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead for our Greensboro, NC operation. This senior role focuses on troubleshooting complex equipment, leading a team, and driving reliability improvements across the facility.

You will diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, program PLCs, oversee PM programs, and mentor technicians while maintaining safety and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLC programming and controls systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Experience performing electrical work on industrial systems up to 480V three-phase.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a root-cause mindset.
  • Leadership experience mentoring or training maintenance personnel.
  • Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and maintenance reporting systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
  • Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair PLC systems.
  • Perform electrical work ranging from low-voltage circuits to 480V three-phase industrial systems.
  • Develop and support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
  • Oversee equipment installations, upgrades, calibrations, and control system maintenance.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and maintenance software to identify and resolve equipment failures.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve machine performance and reliability.
  • Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, and recommended improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team and play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. (PLC, Fanuc Robotics, 480V 3 phase systems, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical Repairs)

What You'll Do:

What You’re Looking For:
  • Extensive experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and controls systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Experience performing electrical work on industrial systems up to 480V three-phase.

  • Leadership experience mentoring or training maintenance personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Journeyman Electrician License is a plus.
  • Experience leading maintenance projects, coordinating resources, and managing maintenance improvements.
