Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for the Dearborn Works HDGL facility in Dearborn, MI.

The role focuses on determining basic causes of equipment failures, implementing corrective actions, and establishing maintenance procedures to improve equipment stability. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
Demonstrated equipment reliability knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with maintenance software and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to perform maintenance/reliability studies and FMEA on equipment.

Responsibilities

Monitors line equipment availability and efficiency; analyzes key problems.
Uses failure analysis techniques to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Assists in planning outages and maintenance shop activities.
Updates drawings with equipment modifications and collaborates on redesigns.
Coordinates with suppliers/engineering to specify design requirements for upgrades.
Establishes inspection standards and works with inspectors and NDT/predictive groups.
