Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 2 years of Engineering experience (can include Co-op).
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic mechanical engineering principles.
• Diagnose and solve technical problems using data-based decisions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication.
• Willingness to wear PPE such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex and respirators.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Mechanical Engineer for the Central Maintenance Engineering Organization.
• Address short-term fixed and rotating equipment issues to keep the plant running.
• Design and implement improvement projects up to $500,000.
• Develop Job Plans, Procedures and Execution Standards.
• Lead troubleshooting and support Root Cause Analysis for larger events.
• Collaborate with Mechanics, Operations and other engineers.
• Improve work execution and standardization; implement CODs when needed.
