Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Mechanical Lead/Field Representative to support the Unit 1 Modernization at Burton Dam, overseeing contractor activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality on a major infrastructure upgrade. The role emphasizes field coordination and robust project controls in a dynamic construction environment.

You will manage field teams, participate in meetings, and ensure adherence to technical documents during turbine/generator replacements and BOP upgrades

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor/Master of Science in Construction Science/Building Science or related field preferred.
• General Contractors License highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support field coordination and contract administration for assigned project scope.
• Oversee contractor activities and enforce site safety procedures (BBS, SWA, SST).
• Participate in quality surveillance and implement site quality protocols.
• Log daily progress and contractor interactions using project systems (Unifier, CAMP).
• Attend and contribute to project meetings and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Ensure alignment of activities with drawings, specs, and conditions.
• Lead full turbine and generator replacement and BOP upgrades.
• Oversee civil infrastructure improvements including head gates and crane upgrades.
