Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering in College Station invites applications for the Technical Laboratory Coordinator in the Mechanical Engineering department. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Three years of related experience in laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads training sessions for students on manual shop equipment, CNC machines, and related software.
• Provides technical assistance to students, staff, and faculty in the machine shop and rapid prototyping studio.
• Performs semi-complex mechanical work.
• Manufactures parts from steel, aluminum or other materials from drawings or verbal instruction to required tolerances.
• Creates gears, threads, shafts, and fixtures to very close tolerances.
• Maintains and repairs lab equipment and supports laboratories.
• Other duties as assigned.
