Job summary

LSB Industries, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Integrity/NDT Supervisor for the Pryor, OK facility. This role oversees the non-destructive testing and inspection program to ensure reliability of process piping, vessels, and tanks.

You will supervise 3rd party inspectors, maintain reports, and input data into the PCMS system. The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams and strict adherence to regulatory standards including OSHA and EPA.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NDT methods: PT, VT, PMI, UT as basic inspections.
• Familiarity with advanced NDE techniques such as phased array, time of flight, acoustic emission.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; highly organized with time management discipline.

Responsibilities

• Supervise non-destructive testing and inspection methods to ensure integrity of structures and equipment.
• Oversee piping hanger and structural support inspections per MI schedule.
• Maintain inspection and test reports for mechanical integrity of piping, vessels, and tanks.
• Enter design data, inspection criteria, and frequencies into PCMS; build equipment databases.
• Coordinate with 3rd party inspectors during outages and daily operations.
• Interpret NDT reports to determine corrective actions and improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements.

Job Summary

This position reports to the Manager of Mechanical Integrity and is responsible for implementing the requirements of the mechanical integrity program at the Pryor, OK facility. This role supervises non-destructive testing (NDT) and additional inspection methods which are used to ensure plant reliability in chemical process industries. NDT is a primary method in detecting flaws in welds, structures, and equipment. This position is responsible for adhering to all state, federal, code inspection and fitness for service rules and regulations.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Be familiar with basic forms of NDT inspections to include penetrant testing (PT), visual testing (VT), positive metal identification (PMI), and ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurements on related structures, components, and welds to ensure their integrity.
• Be familiar with advanced NDE techniques such as phased array, time of flight, acoustic emission, etc..
• Perform piping hanger and structural support inspections per MI schedule.
• Maintain inspection and test reports (electronic and hard copy formats, as applicable) for mechanical integrity of process piping, vessels, and tanks.
• Supervise 3rd party inspectors during outages and daily assignments.
• Interpret NDT reports to assess equipment condition and provide corrective actions as required.
• Enter design data, inspection criteria, and inspection frequencies into the LSB mechanical integrity equipment management software system (PCMS).
• Build and maintain equipment and components database in PCMS.
• Maintain proficiency with PCMS for inspection scheduling and status reporting.
• Conduct measurements and analysis using the temporary flow meter as directed.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, etc.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Highly organized, with a focus on process and time management discipline.
• Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
• The ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines are required.
