The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5 years of experience, and hands-on CAD/FEA tool experience (Pro/E, SolidWorks, ANSYS).

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 5 years of professional experience.
  • Pro/E and/or SolidWorks experience.
  • Data analysis tools such as MS Excel and Minitab helpful.
  • ANSYS experience desirable for FEA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development via testing and analysis of data and designs.
  • Develop products and processes via mechanical testing and qualification of electrical connectors and components.
  • Create test sequences to determine long-term reliability considering customer use.
  • Process and analyze testing results and prepare reports for internal and external customers.
  • Support mechanical analysis including tolerance analysis, FEA, materials analysis, failure analysis, and test plans.
  • Prepare test samples, design and fabricate fixtures, and interface with test lab technicians.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to develop prototypes and interface with beta-site customers.
