H. B. McClure Company, LLC is hiring a Mechanical Insulator to join our Commercial Construction team in the Harrisburg area.

You will install HVAC and plumbing insulation on new construction and renovation projects while coordinating with field teams to ensure safe, high-quality work on schedule. Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial mechanical insulation experience (HVAC and/or plumbing systems).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety, training, and jobsite coordination.

• Install insulation on commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to support proper installation.
• Communicate with field teams, foremen, and project staff to coordinate work and resolve issues.
• Follow OSHA and company safety requirements on all jobsites.
• Maintain trade tools and provide personal hand tools required for the role.

Job description

This position will report to H. B. McClure Company, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. Build Your Future with HB McClure. In this role, you will install HVAC and plumbing insulation for new construction and renovation projects while working with field teams to deliver safe, high-quality work on schedule.

Compensation: Hourly rates starting at $24/hr + depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install insulation on commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment: Measure materials, assist with takeoffs, and complete work efficiently to quality standards
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to support proper installation
• Communicate with field teams, foremen, and project staff to coordinate work and resolve issues
• Follow OSHA and company safety requirements on all jobsites
• Maintain trade tools and provide personal hand tools required for the role

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of commercial mechanical insulation experience (HVAC and/or plumbing systems)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety, training, and jobsite coordination (required)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain after hire
• Ability to work at heights, use ladders/lifts, enter and work in confined spaces
