Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of mechanical inspection experience, strong documentation skills, and proficiency in inspection software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing mechanical inspections on large-scale Public Works projects.
• Experience inspecting HVAC systems (rough and finish).
• Experience with plumbing systems including pumps, piping, ducts, equipment, controls, vaults, and underground systems.
• Experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.
• Experience reviewing and approving monthly progress payments.
• Experience reviewing as-built drawings.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection-related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections on public works construction projects.
• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems for code compliance.
• Review contractor work for adherence to project specifications.
• Evaluate and approve monthly progress payments.
• Review and verify as-built drawings; prepare clear and detailed inspection reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support project schedules, including overtime and weekend work if required.
