Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical/IT inspection experience; airfield lighting experience is a plus
• 3+ years of electrical/IT inspections for Building Construction
• Ability to write clear, concise daily progress docs and handle monthly progress/payment tasks
• CAL OSHA-30 certification required
• NFPA-13 training completed
• Fall protection training and harness use
• Current ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector certification
• Proof of NFPE-70E training within last 3 years
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, email familiarity
• Ability to work well with large project teams and diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of electrical/IT systems in public works rights-of-way, buildings and tenant improvements
• Interpret code requirements for low voltage IT systems and electrical installations
• Inspect electrical rough-ins, finishes, underground utilities, panels, lighting and life/safety systems
• Assist with project documentation, change orders, RFIs, and progress tracking
• Work varied shifts including nights/weekends as needed by contractors
• Maintain safety and compliance with LAWA requirements
