Job summary

SSI People is seeking a Mechanical HVAC / Plumbing Engineer for on-site work at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. You will review HVAC and plumbing deliverables, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and help ensure mechanical systems are reviewed with accuracy, clarity, and code compliance.

You will support design submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction-phase coordination, and present findings to clients, contractors, and end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Federal industry experience and familiarity with UFCs, MIL-STDs, and UFGS.
• Strong HVAC and plumbing design capability across industrial, commercial, central plants, boilers, chillers.
• Knowledge of building mechanical codes and sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC and plumbing deliverables such as specs, drawings, calculations, and basis of design.
• Support design submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction-phase coordination.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other disciplines to maintain project alignment and compliance.
• Present findings and communicate clearly with groups including clients, peers, contractors, and end users.
