Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Mechanical HVAC/Plumbing Engineer to support a federal project stationed at Hill AFB, Utah. You will review HVAC and plumbing designs, coordinate with government and project teams, and provide construction-phase engineering support on-site.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in mechanical engineering, a mechanical or architectural degree, and a SECRET clearance or eligibility. Strong communication and knowledge of UFCs, MIL-STDs, and UFGS are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Federal experience with UFCs, MIL-STDs, and UFGS.
• Active SECRET clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• HVAC and plumbing design experience for industrial/commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC and plumbing design deliverables (drawings, specs, calculations).
• Coordinate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support and review RFIs.
• Participate in design review conferences and meetings.
• Develop and maintain project schedules for small- to mid-size projects.
• Communicate technical information to clients and end users.
• Support on-site design review and engineering at Hill AFB.
