Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks a Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC/Plumbing for a federal, on-site role at Hill AFB in Utah. This contract position involves supporting government design from their perspective, with work including submittal reviews and coordination during construction.

Candidates should have 3+ years in mechanical engineering, federal project experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in Mechanical Engineering.
• Federal industry experience and familiarity with government requirements (UFCs, MIL-STDs, UFGS).
• Security Clearance (SECRET) or ability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of building mechanical codes.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Create and maintain project schedules for small to mid-size projects.
• Review HVAC and plumbing system deliverables (drawings, specs, calculations) for accuracy and coordination.
• Actively coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors.
• Understand construction phase services (review of submittals, responses to RFIs).
• Able to present in front of large groups including clients and end users.
