Synectics Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC Estimator to develop bid quotations and packages, using historical cost data and blueprints to estimate time, materials, and labor for current and future projects.

You will collaborate with clients, vendors and internal teams to finalize pricing and ensure accurate scope definitions. The role requires strong knowledge of estimating software and construction documentation, with attention to regulatory guidelines and safety policies.

Formación

• 5+ years HVAC estimating experience in construction, preferably mechanical.
• Experience with Trimble MEP, AutoBid Mechanical or similar.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor or Master in engineering or construction field desirable.
• Knowledge of construction industry and contract documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong working knowledge of estimating software and construction financial packages.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed pricing for bid quotations and bid packages for management.
• Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Analyze blueprints to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Review contract and bid documents and scope for turnover.
• Attend walk-throughs, pre-bid and scope clarification meetings.
• Perform take-offs and data entry.
• Prepare scope letters and proposals.
• Maintain relationships with customers, GCs, vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering Department.
• Ensure documents are saved in confidential estimating folders.
• Assist project managers with takeoffs and pricing changes.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Trimble MEP, AutoBid Mechanical or similar.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in engineering or construction related field desirable.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.
• Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of AutoBid and other mechanical, technical, or construction-related software programs.
• Must have experience using project management and document control software.
• Must demonstrate a solid understanding of construction and financial software packages.
