Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer, Mechanical (Starshield) to ensure reliability of satellite hardware and collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and supply chain teams. Responsibilities include root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements to sustain high reliability for Starshield production.

The role requires extensive collaboration, experience with DOE/DOE tools, and readiness to work extended hours and possibly offsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or reliability engineering (internships/co-ops acceptable).
• Active Top Secret/SCI/DOE clearance or ability to obtain one (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, root cause, and investigate non-conforming hardware; implement corrective actions.
• Contain non-conforming product and drive root cause investigations.
• Drive corrective actions to meet design specs using data and monitoring.
