Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Electrical Hardware Reliability Engineer for Starshield in Hawthorne. You will build and lead a team focused on identifying, analyzing, and resolving hardware failures to improve PCBAs’ robustness and longevity.

Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and supply chain teams to enhance overall reliability and support cutting-edge R&D. You will mentor engineers, drive corrective actions, and ensure clear documentation and communication across programs, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related field.
• 3+ years in hardware development, failure analysis, or reliability engineering (internships accepted).
• 1+ years leading a project, team, or people.

Responsibilities

• Lead and hire a team of electrical hardware reliability engineers supporting Starshield production.
• Provide mentorship and RCA leadership for hardware failures.
• Align goals with production and partner engineering to hit reliability and rate objectives.
• Drive corrective actions using data, yield, and defect analysis to identify failure modes.
• Maintain documentation of failure analyses and test results.
• Collaborate with on-orbit reliability team to implement improvements.
