Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Hardware Reliability Engineer, Electrical (Starshield) to ensure reliability of PCBAs for Starshield satellites.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and supply chain teams to analyze failures, implement corrective actions, and improve test assets for higher reliability. The role requires 5+ years in hardware reliability, 2+ years with electrical test equipment, and a background in RF/digital/mixed-signal designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in hardware development, failure analysis, or reliability engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) used to verify hardware functionality.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, perform failure investigations, and implement corrective actions for Starshield production non-conforming hardware.
• Use design schematics, test equipment, and inspection processes to identify physics of failures.
• Contain suspect/non-conforming products and drive root cause progress with updates to technicians, production leadership, and engineering.
