Job summary

CoVolt Power seeks a Mechanical Foreman to lead field construction at solar and BESS projects in the United States. The role is hands-on, requiring a proactive approach to safety, quality, and schedule while guiding crews on site.

You will train teammates on a complete mechanical scope, manage equipment operations, and ensure adherence to project procedures in varied outdoor weather conditions across sites, including Texas.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent education is required.
• Experience on construction projects is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate string line and laser alignment.
• Perform pile shakeout/remediation and tracker shakeout.
• Oversee module staging and QA/QC for trackers and modules.
• Support SPC controller tasks and data reporting.
• Train teammates on at least one complete mechanical scope (piles, tracker, mods).

Position Summary:

Our Mechanical Foreman will be located in the field at one of our project sites within the United States. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and hungry to learn. This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the mechanical scope and will be located at one of our project sites.

• String Line
• Laser
• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller
• Technical Aptitude assistance

*Must be able to train others on at least 1 complete Mechanical Scope (Piles, Tracker, Mods).*

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork
