Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Field Mechanical Foreman to lead on-site mechanical activities at one of our solar project sites in the United States. The role focuses on field-based construction of solar fields, supporting the mechanical scope, and mentoring others on complete mechanical scopes.

The candidate should be ready to operate outdoors in all weather, lift heavy loads, and work as part of a safety-driven team.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to operate outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to train others on mechanical scopes (piles, tracker, mods).
• Must follow precise instructions and report field decisions and progress.

Responsibilities

• String line, laser, pile shakeout, pile remediation, tracker shakeout.
• Module staging, QA/QC for modules and trackers.
• Support SPC controller and perform technical aptitude tasks as needed.
• Train others on at least one complete mechanical scope (Piles, Tracker, Mods).
• Maintain safety and quality on site and document field decisions in reports.

Position Summary:

Our Mechanical Foreman will be located in the field at one of our project sites within the United States. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and hungry to learn. This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the mechanical scope and will be located at one of our project sites.

• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller
• Technical Aptitude assistance

*Must be able to train others on at least 1 complete Mechanical Scope (Piles, Tracker, Mods).*

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork

• Meets expectations with timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking.
