Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Manager, Mechanical FieldWorks to build and lead field crews for complex maintenance, outages, and special projects across nuclear and energy markets. This role focuses on technical leadership, crew development, and strong customer partnerships.

As an early FieldWorks leader, you will stand up the mechanical organization, develop future leaders, and collaborate with customers, union halls, and field personnel to ensure safe, high-quality work and long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, outage execution, or field services in nuclear or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven experience leading and supporting union craft workforces.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical disciplines and ability to act as a SME for customers and field teams.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, OEM specs, and work packages; travel 50%+.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and oversight of mechanical maintenance and outage work to ensure safe field execution.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure work complies with customer requirements and standards.
• Define project scopes, staffing needs, schedules, and execution strategies with customers.
• Coach and develop mechanical crews and track performance for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with union partners, customers, and field leadership.
