Southland Industries is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator in Virginia to prepare preliminary budgets and detailed estimates for small to mid-size projects. You will analyze drawings, perform material take-offs, and price units while coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical construction estimating, strong cost analysis, and proficient use of estimating software.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or trade-related training; minimum 3 years in mechanical construction estimating.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Solid ability to interpret cost data and systems.

Mansioni

• Analyze drawings and perform material take-offs for detailed estimates.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and manage vendor quotes.
• Review RFPs and Basis of Design to define scope and contents of estimate.
• Present information to internal departments and respond to questions.
