Job Details

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems and related projects.
• Review and analyze project plans, requirements, and specifications.
• Prepare bids and proposals, ensuring they meet customer needs and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather information and resolve issues.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Utilize estimating software such as Trimble to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
• Monitor and track project costs, providing regular updates to project managers and clients.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the HVAC industry, applying this knowledge to your work.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating, with a focus on HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in MEP, HVAC, HVACR, HVAC&R, Trimble, pipefitting, ductwork, and air conditioning.
• Experience with HVAC installation and knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
• Proven experience preparing bids and participating in preconstruction meetings.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, with a focus on mechanical systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately estimate costs and manage budgets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using computer software for estimating, scheduling, and project management.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
