Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Chicago is offering a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern position. You will support our engineering teams on MEP projects, preparing drawings and performing basic calculations under supervision.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, with lunch-and-learn sessions, site visits, and exposure to AutoCAD and Revit. You will join a collaborative team and gain experience that prepares you for a professional engineering career.

Qualifications

• The candidate pursues a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be at a minimum in the second year of studies.
• Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in MEP AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus.
• Basic knowledge in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Electrical systems.
• Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Electrical systems.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
• Attend intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions.
