Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in design documentation, CAD drawings, and field observations on landmark projects. You will work with engineers and participate in an intern education program, expanding knowledge through lunch-and-learn sessions.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, is in the second year, and has basic knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and Revit, with MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Must be at least in your second year.
• Prior engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Familiar with AutoCAD MEP and Revit; MS Office knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe.
• Attend intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions.
