Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Colorado seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Boost Control Systems (BCS) Team, driving design, development, integration, verification and sustainment for the missile boost‑phase flight. You will coordinate across design disciplines, flight sciences, FBM Missile SEIT, contracts, FBO, and PSOC entities, with occasional travel to ensure milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Experience in multiple Systems Engineering domains.
• Experience leading technical, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for proposal, technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and overall project execution from RB development through flight test execution and results assessment.
• Coordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training
• Defined work scope expectations and resource loading
• Develop and coach employees; complete performance assessment related to salary/recognition, and coordinate disciplinary actions with HR
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
