Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites applicants for a Mechanical Engineering Intern position in Coshocton, OH. Under supervision, you will assist in performance of engineering duties and contribute to maintenance planning and equipment improvement projects.

This internship offers exposure to plants, real-world problem solving, and potential consideration for full-time roles. Enrollment in an accredited BS program is required, with sophomores eligible to apply; candidates must be legally authorized to work

Qualifications

Enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Completion of at least sophomore year by Summer 2027.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Recommend and/or perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment.
Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, redesign, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action.
Participate in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
Analyze current operating performance and SOPs and make improvement recommendations.
Assist with other projects to support the business.
