Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is offering a Mechanical Engineering Intern position in Coshocton, OH. You will assist in maintenance, design, and analysis under guidance from supervisory personnel, working on real-world engineering challenges.

Qualified candidates are enrolled in a BS Mechanical Engineering program and must be at least sophomores by summer 2027, with a commitment to support maintenance and project work alongside industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or other related technical degree.
• Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and/or perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment
• Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, re-design, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment
• Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action
• Participate in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvement
• Various other projects as needed to support the business

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Sophomore year completion by summer 2027
