Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the Webster, NY site. You will work within the Digital Data Networks unit on laser-based manufacturing systems, supporting design, testing, documentation, and BOM updates.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience across the product development lifecycle. The internship runs May through August, offering professional development workshops, mentorship, and exposure to global teams within a Fortune 500

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
Current enrollment in or pursuing a BA/BS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Prior internship experience or major project is a plus.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Design and iterate mechanical components using CAD tools.
Collaborate with experienced engineers across full product development lifecycle.
Apply materials science and tolerancing fundamentals to real-world designs.
Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas.
Support testing to verify performance against requirements.
Engage with cross-functional teams to build a professional network.
Develop communication and project execution skills in a fast-paced environment.
