TE Connectivity is offering an internship in the Digital Data Networks Business Unit located at 780 Salt Road, Webster, NY. This role supports engineering teams with the design, testing and documentation of laser-based manufacturing systems and collaborates across manufacturing, quality and tooling groups.

You will participate in prototype builds, BOM updates and test reporting while developing communication and project management skills, presenting updates to leadership teams and gaining

Qualifications

• Have earned a high school diploma or GED.
• Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar engineering degrees from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
• Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project.
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Design and iterate on mechanical components using industry-standard CAD tools, translating concepts into detailed, manufacturable designs.
• Collaborate directly with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on exposure to the full product development lifecycle from ideation and concept selection through validation and launch.
• Apply engineering fundamentals such as materials science, mechanical tolerancing, and electrical interface requirements in a real-world product environment.
• Participate in design reviews, contributing fresh perspectives and ideas that directly influence product outcomes.
• Conduct and support testing activities to verify product performance against customer and regulatory requirements.
