Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electro-Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics with some prior relevant experience.
• Experience with lasers, sources, optics, electro-optics, detectors, cameras, calibration equipment, and diagnostic equipment is required.
• Experience with operating mechanical-electro-optical equipment and data collection/analysis.
• Strong Windows computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, align, and calibrate custom testbeds and test equipment.
• Design, build, and test hardware using SolidWorks.
• Modify and develop data acquisition tools using LabVIEW.
• Modify and develop data reduction and analysis tools using MATLAB or Excel.
• Understand programming techniques for image processing.
• Work independently as well as with a team.
