Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in San Diego, CA offers a Mechanical Engineering Summer Internship to support design teams on landmark projects. You will assist with design documentation, AutoCAD and Revit drawings, and field observations while learning through the intern education program.

The role emphasizes teamwork, independent work when needed, and exposure to a fast-paced, collaborative environment with mentors guiding your development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum second-year completion required.
• Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in the latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT is a plus.
• Basic knowledge in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe.
• Attend intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions.
