Job summary

The Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation invites a hands-on Engineering Intern to support the Zurn Wilkins Water Control and Safety business unit. You will work with the Engineering Team on design, testing, and certification of plumbing products, including backflow and pressure reducing valves, and contribute to high-pressure/high-flow valve testing.

You will gain exposure to technical, business, and leadership skills in a summer program, with a structured onboarding to align with Zurn Elkay’s

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Course work related to design has been completed.
• Available to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Efficient and detail-oriented with good analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Team responsible for development and certification of plumbing products for backflow and pressure reducing valve markets.
• Support valve testing with high pressure/high flow of water.
• Create reports and share analyses to improve processes.
• Collaborate with team members to gather project requirements and report progress.
• Run rapid prototypes via 3D printing and perform basic product design modifications.
