Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation invites an Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to hands‑on projects in product design and engineering. You will work closely with the design team on revisions, drawings, and ongoing projects, gaining practical experience in a real manufacturing environment.

The program emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and exposure to multiple facets of engineering, including testing, project management, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, or similar.
• Course work related to design completed.
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic product design modifications.
• Perform AutoCAD & Inventor drafting tasks on drawing revisions and creation.
• Develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment.
• Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products.
• Communicate with team members to gather information about project requirements or to report progress on a project.
• Conduct technical research to identify issues and propose solutions.

The Zurn Elkay Engineering Internship offers a great opportunity for exposure in a hands-on learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop a variety of technical, business, and leadership skills during the assignment.

The responsibilities the intern will complete may include involvement with product design, project management, failure mode analysis, physical product testing, and assisting the engineering department wherever possible.

As a part of the intern program, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following:

• Coaching and Mentoring - You will have a structured on boarding process to introduce you to Zurn Elkay's corporate culture and provide you regular feedback.

• Real Work Experience - Our internship process does not include getting coffee for your boss or running copies. We will provide you a real opportunity to run reports, share your analysis, and improve our processes.

Key Accountabilities

Qualifications/Requirements

• Currently attending school for a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Plastics Engineering Technology, or similar
• Must have completed course work relating to design
• Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer
• Efficient and detail-oriented
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
