Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the Spent Fuel Handling Project at Idaho National Laboratory. This role collaborates with engineers and designers from Idaho Falls and other offices to advance design tasks and prepare technical responses.

You will gain hands-on experience, work with a talented team, and contribute to a high-profile project while developing core mechanical engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering degree.
• Mechanical design experience preferred and knowledge of engineering principles.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter and motivated to accomplish tasks.
• Ability to follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensure that all work accomplished under their control is completed under established quality procedures.
• Competent using Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work onsite at Idaho National Lab daily if needed.
• US citizenship required.
