Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Spring Intern (Co-Op) in New Freedom, PA. The position is onsite for 40 hours per week, January 2027–May 2027, focusing on engineering activities within the compressor engineering department for centrifugal compressors in water-cooled chillers.

You will learn from engineers, assist in test plans, analyze data, and prepare reports, with potential class credit and benefits available from day one.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow compressor testing, organize and analyze test data, and create reports.
• Take direction from the manager and engineers, provide guidance to test operators, and follow safety procedures.
• Create and execute test plans and maintain guidelines for future interns.
