Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Spring 2027 session at the JADEC facility in New Freedom, PA. The role involves hands-on work with large centrifugal compressors, test planning, data analysis, and reporting under supervision of the engineering management team.

You will collaborate with compressor engineers, aero engineers, technicians, and more, performing activities in a safe lab environment and presenting key learnings at internship end.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a U.S. college or university pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine design.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Follow compressor testing, organize and analyze test data, and create reports.
• Take direction from manager and engineers; guide test operators and interface with technicians.
• Understand and follow all safety procedures and use PPE.
• Create and execute test plans and maintain guidelines for future interns.
