Job summary

Graco is seeking a student-intern for hands-on production support in machining and assembly. The role involves troubleshooting, process improvement suggestions, and participation in capital equipment evaluations, with clear opportunities to learn and grow within Graco’s manufacturing environment.

Requirements include pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide general production support for machining and assembly areas through hands‑on troubleshooting and technical assistance
• Assist in evaluating the need for machine and assembly area upgrades
• Participate in capital equipment justification as needed
• Review and analyze standards and operational layouts to suggest improvements
• Assist in the selection and implementation of tooling and fixtures for machining and assembly jobs
• Participate in cost of quality improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective action
• React to changing priorities in a timely manner
• Report man-hour estimates
