Job summary

HiArc in New Hampshire is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support design, development, and testing of mechanical components across active programs. You will assist with CAD modeling (SolidWorks), analyses, test plans, data collection, and documentation to back design decisions.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, cross‑functional teams, and technicians to prototype concepts, troubleshoot issues, and improve product performance while gaining hands‑on experience in the full

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of the program.
• Familiar with CAD modeling and GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, modifying and/or identify commercial items, such as robotics, mechanisms, mechanical components, fluidics components and/or mechanical subassemblies, etc.
• Assist with performing analyses and experiments to evaluate products, designs or processes. Utilizing mathematical techniques, specialized computer programs, FEA, Tolerance Stack-up, etc.
• Assist with preparing engineering specifications and procedures.
• Assist with producing 3D CAD part files and assemblies and associated drawings.
• Assist with producing and evaluating engineering prototypes.
• Assist with preparing technical documentation relating to proposals, reports, specifications, etc.
• Assist with performing lab/field testing for new or existing applications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
