Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Integrated Process Solutions to partner with Product Marketing, Engineering and Operations and to support Sustaining Engineering activities, participate in Product Development Projects and assist with product testing. You will report to the Sr Manager, Product Development.

The 3‑month program begins in January 2026. Candidates must be available for the entire duration, with a possibility to extend into the summer.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
• Hands‑on skills in a laboratory environment.
• Comfortable with mechanical and electrical hardware.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design of highly reliable products with cost, reliability, serviceability and manufacturability in mind
• Perform tests on prototypes to demonstrate that product specifications are met
• Complete data reduction and evaluate results to make recommendation on next steps
• Complete documentation of designs conforming to MKS documentation standards including: detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, and test reports
