Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to learn the various areas of Mechanical Engineering within the Dematic Organization, and in support of customer projects. You will work on modernization and upgrades of material handling systems, perform site audits, and help install mechanical improvements.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree, have familiarity with CAD (AutoCAD) and general computer systems, and possess strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD design software including AutoCAD.
• Familiarization with Computer Systems and Technologies.
• Ability to solve complex design issues and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Modernization and Upgrades on existing material handling systems.
• Perform site audits to collect required data.
• Support the installation of mechanical upgrades.
• Provide detailed layouts and documentation for all modernization scopes.
• Create Purchase Requests and Parts Order Entry.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Sales, Engineering, and Field Operations to support new equipment built to specification.
