Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to learn the various areas of Mechanical Engineering within the Dematic Organization, and in support of customer projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems.
• Familiarization with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.

Responsibilities

• Support Modernization and Upgrades on existing material handling systems.
• Perform site audits to collect required data.
• Support the installation of mechanical upgrades.
• Provide detailed layouts and documentation for all modernization scopes.
• Create Purchase Requests and Parts Order Entry
• Drive activities related to ensuring new equipment is built to specification.
• Provide technical support for Estimating, Sales, Engineering teams, and Field Operations.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $20.00 - $29.00 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What We are Looking For:

• Candidates must be pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems
• Knowledge of CAD design software including AutoCAD
• Familiarization with Computer Systems and Technologies.
• Ability to solve complex design issues and implement effective and cost-efficient solutions.
• Proven communications skills, flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team of solution-oriented professionals.
