Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support the engineering team. You will work on projects to improve safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing processes in a hands-on factory setting.

You will audit work instructions, perform time studies, and assist with plant layout while learning ERP tools and documentation for new product launches. This role combines office duties with field/production tasks.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Exposure to Lean concepts.
• Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication.
• Experience with 2D & 3D CAD software.
• Exposure to Lean and 5S concepts.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update work instructions, routings and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling methods.
• Perform time studies.
• Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
• Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical support to the production personnel.
• Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
• Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
• Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
• Create documentation for new product launches.
