Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Missouri-Kansas City seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to gain real-world experience on diverse projects.

You will apply standard engineering techniques, work under supervision, and contribute to design challenges with precision. Preferred: 3.0+ GPA, enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, knowledge of Autodesk Revit, IESVE, Trane Trace tools; strong problem-solving and communication skills; attention to detail; basic Microsoft Office.

In the role of Mechanical Engineering Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects (Healthcare, Data Centers, Water-Wastewater, Resources, Transportation, Federal, Aviation Facilities, Hospitality/Entertainment, Corporate Real Estate, Finance, etc.)
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 3 years completed (at end of semester) toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages (Autodesk Revit, IESVE, Trane Trace 700/3D) related to field of study/industry
• Local candidates preferred
