Job summary

HDR's Building Engineering Services Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern in Missouri to gain real-world design experience while learning from senior engineers. You'll apply engineering techniques on electrical design projects, prepare specifications, and participate in multiple phases of design and construction.

HDR values an active student with 2+ years toward a degree, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and communication abilities expected.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to conduct analyses, develop electrical design options and prepare specifications
• Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist with routine electrical Engineering assignments for small to larger electrical projects in various phases of design and construction
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Preference given to local candidates

• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
